EE-479 Digital Control Systems Projects
Real-Time Control Laboratory
Dr. Hadi Saadat

The objectives of these projects are to give the senior students exposure to the state-of-the-art in modern control system design. Students gain hands-on experience in designing, simulating, analyzing, and implementing real-time controllers needed for the design and implementation of real-world control systems. Practical applications include Inverted Pendulum, Flexible Link, and Flexible Joint projects utilizing state-space feedback design by pole placement or Linear Quadratic Regulator design. Some Projects involves z-domain modeling including design and implementation of discrete-time controllers. Students are assigned two projects, which vary from year to year.
